Event venue in Lyon
400 metres from L’Auberge du Pont de Collonges, overlooking the Saône, L’Abbaye de Collonges embodies the most fundamental principle of Paul Bocuse’s life-long philosophy: the art of celebrating.
In this idyllic and sumptuous setting, everything has been designed to spark joy and delight. The highlight? Le Grand Limonaire, a truly extraordinary room which boasts stunning views of the Saône during the day and a truly amazing spectacle in the evening: the eponymous organ provides a veritable sound-and-light show, with wooden horses coming to life, accompanied by the music played by an invisible 110-piece orchestra.
It’s a riot of colour, dominated by the theatrical red shade of the impressive curtains, emphasising the importance of emotions at any successful and celebratory event.
L’Abbaye de Collonges: the perfect setting for every event
On arrival at L’Abbaye de Collonges, guests enter La Rotonde, where poultry and whole pigs can be roasted in the large stone fireplace. There are smaller spaces, which are no less welcoming or elegant, around the reconstructed cloister in front of the original building, the symbolic heart of L’Abbaye de Collonges and Paul Bocuse’s paternal family.
The property has a unique feel, reflecting the irreplaceable alchemy for which Paul Bocuse was renowned: a unique blend of attentiveness, kindness, cheerfulness, indulgence and elegance.

Le Grand Limonaire: an iconic, one-of-a-kind room
The Gaudin mechanical organ was built in 1900. Walled off for protection during the Second World War, it was brought to L’Abbaye by Paul Bocuse who designed the room around this incredible instrument.
Equivalent to a 110-piece orchestra, it can perform around thirty pieces of music and is made up of
103 keys, 20 automatic registers, 23 automatic figurines, 840 pipes, 80 trumpets, 2 large drums, 2 tambourines, 2 cymbals, 2 castanets, 1 xylophone and 1 metallophone.
